Strength Training & Performance Tracking
BreakLift is designed from the ground up for strength athletes, powerlifters, and anyone serious about progressive overload. The workout builder lets you create fully customized training routines with over 400 exercises drawn from a comprehensive offline database that includes detailed biomechanical parameters, muscle activation maps, and video demonstrations.
During active workouts, you can track key performance indicators that matter for strength sports:
- •One-Rep Max (1RM) — Automatic 1RM estimation based on your working sets using Epley, Brzycki, and Lombardi formulas, so you can gauge your true strength without maxing out in every session.
- •Rate of Perceived Exertion (RPE) — Log the RPE for each set to fine-tune training intensity and manage fatigue across mesocycles.
- •Total Tonnage & Volume — Automatically calculated per exercise and per session, allowing you to compare training load over time and ensure progressive overload.
- •Rest Timers — Configurable countdown timers between sets with audio alerts, so you can focus on your lifts without watching the clock.
Each workout session is saved with full details — sets, reps, weight, tempo, and custom fields — creating a comprehensive training log that you can review anytime to analyze progress and plan future programs.
Equipment Monitoring: The Gear Tracker
Serious lifters know that training equipment degrades over time, and worn-out gear can compromise both performance and safety. BreakLift's Gear Tracker is a dedicated module that allows you to create a detailed inventory of all your training accessories and monitor their condition over time.
You can track a wide range of equipment categories including lifting belts, knee sleeves, wrist wraps, squat shoes, deadlift slippers, resistance bands, chalk, and more. For each item you can record the brand, model, purchase date, price, and current condition rating from "new" to "needs replacement." The system includes both pre-defined and custom equipment categories, so you can adapt it to your specific sport — whether that is powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, strongman, or general strength training.
Zero-Server Architecture & Privacy
Unlike most fitness apps that upload your personal data to company-owned cloud servers, BreakLift follows a fundamentally different approach. All your data — workouts, body measurements, nutrition logs, medical records, and gear inventory — is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in storage mechanisms.
When you want cloud backup for safety or cross-device synchronization, BreakLift connects directly to your personal Google Drive account using standard OAuth authentication. Your backup files are saved as private files that only you can see and manage. The BreakLift team never has access to your data — there is no intermediary server, no analytics pipeline, and no data monetization of any kind.
This zero-server architecture means your health, fitness, and medical information stays truly private. It also means the app works perfectly offline — ideal for gym environments where connectivity is often limited.
